HHFDC awards tax credits to Kemole Lane Apartments

The Hawaiʻi Housing Finance and Development Corporation Board approved federal and state Low-Income Housing Tax Credits for Kemole Lane Apartments on July 9, 2026. Developed through a partnership between Double-U LLC and Ikenakea Kemole LLC, the planned community will provide 20 affordable one- and two-bedroom rental homes in Mōʻiliʻili for households earning between 30% and 60% of Area Median Income. The project team reported that building permits had been secured, together with a $1 million City and County of Honolulu subsidy. The award advances preparations for construction.
