HHFDC financing advances the first phase of Leiwili Kapolei

The Hawaiʻi Housing Finance and Development Corporation has awarded financing to the first residential phase of Leiwili Kapolei, a mixed-use community being developed by ʻIkenākea Development and The Michaels Organization. Buildings B and C will contain 342 affordable rental homes for households earning between 30% and 60% of Area Median Income, plus two manager units. Planned residences range from one to three bedrooms and will be organized around shared courtyards. The broader Leiwili plan envisions as many as 900 affordable and workforce homes, neighborhood-serving commercial space, walking routes and community amenities on nearly 20 acres in West Oʻahu.
