Hale O Piʻikea opens in Kīhei with 223 affordable homes
ʻIkenākea Development has completed Hale O Piʻikea, a three-phase affordable rental community in Kīhei providing 223 homes for Maui families, individuals and kūpuna. The development serves households earning between 30% and 60% of Area Median Income and includes family apartments, homes designed for independent residents aged 55 and older, and three units reserved for households experiencing homelessness. Phase I and Phase III were fully occupied at the time of opening, while Phase II continued its lease-up. The project was developed with support from Maui County, the Hawaiʻi Housing Finance and Development Corporation, public financing programs and private partners.
